What we collect

When you create an account or place an order we collect your name, email address, shipping address, and payment information. Payment is processed securely by our payment processor — we never store card numbers.

How we use it

Your information is used to process and fulfill your order, send transactional emails (order confirmation, shipping updates), and, if you opt in, occasional research-focused email content. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and third-party tools to operate the site, analyze traffic, and measure advertising performance. The following services are active:

  • Google Analytics (GA4)— Collects anonymous usage data (pages visited, session duration, device type). No personally identifiable information is sent to Google. Opt out via Google’s browser add-on.
  • Pinterest Tag— Used to measure Pinterest advertising performance. Pinterest may set a cookie if you have a Pinterest account. Manage Pinterest ad preferences here.
  • Klaviyo— Our email marketing platform. Klaviyo may track email opens and link clicks. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.
  • WooCommerce / WordPress— Session and cart cookies required for checkout to function.

 

 

Email marketing

If you subscribe to our list or create an account, you may receive research-focused updates and promotional offers. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also opt out at any time by emailing us.

 

Third-party services

We use third-party services for payment processing, order fulfillment, and shipping. These providers receive only the data necessary to complete their function and are not permitted to use it for any other purpose.

 

California privacy rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to: (1) know what personal information we collect and how it is used; (2) request deletion of your personal information; (3) opt out of the sale of your personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact us. We will respond within 45 days.

 

Data retention

Order records are retained as required for tax and legal purposes, typically a minimum of 7 years. You may request deletion of marketing-related data at any time.

 

Security & breach notification

We maintain reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your personal information. In the event of a security incident that we reasonably believe has compromised the confidentiality of your personal data, we will notify affected customers by email within 72 hours of becoming aware of the incident. The notification will describe the nature of the event, the categories of data involved, the steps we have taken to address it, and any recommended actions for you.
